It has recently come to our attention that local boards of health in several communities have enacted regulations limiting the operation of outdoor wood fired boilers during certain times of the year. In some communities the local Board of Health is requiring that the units be located certain distances from adjacent dwellling houses and have minimum stack heights, among other things.
